I was hoping you could give me some information about the Edelweiss saddle. I've found a used one that is in my price range but I'd like some CoTH wisdom. My horse, I'm told has a flatter (as opposed to rounder) shaped back. Is this saddle generally more suited towards the round or flat backed horses? What do you like/dislike about the Edelweiss? I do a bit of everything: trails, jumping, some flat/dressage work- would this be a good all around saddle?
I know that opinions will vary from person to person, horse to horse, but just looking for some thoughts.I did try to do a forum search with no luck. Thanks in advance
I've ridden in two of them and they were very slippery to me! I felt like I was sliding all over the place unless I wore full seats. I liked the saddle itself, though and the quality is nice. I think it would be a good lower level saddle if it fits you and your horse! Just make sure to oil it to keep the leather soft and sticky as opposed to dried out and slippery like I did (lol!). How tall are you? My FAVORITE stubben saddle is the juventus S. It is technically a juniors saddle but they go up to a size 17".
