Default Need advice - how to keep up with a jumper sold to the US?

    Hi!

A friend of mine is in the final stages of selling a jumper to a US trainer/dealer and would very much like to keep in touch since it´s her own breeding which now is 8 yo.

I have some experience in finding horses thru usef-search, googling, facebooking and so on but would like to know your best ideas.

She has told the dealer and will staple a note in the passport with her information and "To future owner - Would really like to keep in touch".

    Any ideas?

    BR

I think USEF is the best way if they keep its name. They update points within a week or so of a show. If you know trainers name and the region they are in,you can look at Horseshowsonline and see results from each show. You can check results by trainer's name on that site.

I hope the horse has a happy, successful career in the US.

    Really, no more answers?

As a jumper rider in the states, do you not care about papers and breeding or have you just given up on knowing where your horse comes from?

Some people are quite interested. I would LOVE to be in touch with my horse's breeder, but have no idea how to do that. Other people really do not care at all. Putting a note in the passport was a great idea.

It will be very difficult to keep tabs on the horse if the new owner changes the horse's name before it's registered with usef. Hopefully the horse has a 'cool' name that the new owner likes.
