River Glen Training helmet cam
River Glen is in the hills of Northeastern Tennessee, a private farm located in a hilly, picturesque glen by a very pretty river. This was a good, early season, softer training course. Nice to get the first show out of the way. I was so nervous I forgot to hook up my air vest or start my watch. I did have the fastest XC time in my division! Enjoyhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H2Kqm...ature=youtu.be

Yay!!
Now I'm just a little confused....I didn't see ANY rain coats nor umbrellas. The starters were just sitting out in the POURING RAIN with NO cover. I can't believe you actually RODE in that weather......;-)
Glad you went? I am. Good job!!

A gazillion weather satellites, 2 gazillion doppler radar stations and yet , it's still more art than science.

We got lucky, I think There were some moments when the sky turned absolutely black and I thought we were in for it finally, but then it all just dissipated.
It was indeed a wee bit chilly, but great for XC day!
PS great video! That was a fun course to ride.

What a great ride you had! I love River Glen...it's a beautiful location, great owners (last time I was there, I found out that I went to grad school where the owner got his bachelor's!). But, I've never been warm there...it's always been cold and even rainy!
Glad the rain held off for you guys...looks like a good time was had by all! Yay!

I can see why you had the fastest time. You guys looked like you were running Intermediate speed in the beginning. By the end, he had moved down to Training speed. I love all of your "Good boy!" pats during your ride, too. Great job.
Are you going to MayDaze or Indiana?
Yes, Maydaze! I fell off there last year. I hope to improve on that this year. See you there?

I like the low voice and calmness you use when praising your horse.
