I remember Gayfield's Blue Nile with someone from my era but I can't remember who. He was adorable!
I think he was bought by one of Robin (Bacon) Greenwood's customers- can't recall which one now, but I think he was featured in a Practical Horseman article at the time. I probably still have the magazine in my mother's attic!

Remember Bit O Honey and Winn Dixie?
Of course!! Both the Ashe girls had Honey. Honey had to be put down in Ocala around 4 years ago. T.J. LeBlanc's litle girl Katherine had her at the time. That pony was a saint...Katherine was like 3 or 4 showing in the short stirrups, and Honey took such good care of her. So sad when she died.
As far as I know, Winn Dixie (Charle) is still around. He's out in a field retired somewhere. Tammy Provost started him, I believe, and then he just became a fixture around her barn. Just about everybody showed him around here (the Ashe girls had him too)...he showed for EVER. Brooke Bidgood was the last one to show Charlie in the ponies around 4 years ago. He's either retired at the Bidgood's farm or the Ashe's farm.
Was there a Ziff pony that was cut at Harrisburg one year? I mean, literally, cut up one side by someone trying to hurt it.
I know that's totally bizarre, and I was very young, but I thought I heard that rumor flying around the show. It could be a fabrication, and, if so, apologies. We're talking way back -- early- to mid-'80s.
I remember Peter Pan. I can't think of who rode him.
I had Halcyon Hyacinth, who sadly was put down after I sold her. She was doing the green's at the time and was a full sister to Hawthorne. I also rode Halcyon Oscar Wild, Halcyon Lily Maid, and more of that line. I bet we have met at some point.

Correct! The first owner named the pony for the faint brand, and the next owner used white shoe polish to make it more visible.

I remember her when she was at SBS Farms. Cute and fat!
