Default Foal feet--article by farrier and vet, Scott Morrison

This belongs here. Dr. Morrison is among the very best feet people in the whole United States and ministers to TB racing royalty, as per this article. He says many things in ways that give them more impact.

My foals are always seen by the farrier at least every 3 weeks. It always horrifies me to hear breeders talk about how they need to get so-and-so their first trim...at 5 months old! Keeping those baby feet balanced is integral in developing healthy legs! Thanks for the reminder =)

I trim foals at momma's side for free to drive home the point about early hoof care. Much better than "well, we're sending him off to the trainer's. Can you tidy up his feet a bit?"
