spending a long weekend there the latter part of May. Riding out near the Cumberland Valley Trail Head. Anyone who has ridden there, fill me in on the Need to Knows!
A conclusion is the place where you got tired of thinking. (Steven Wright)
Most of the trails in that area are easy, wide, and sandy.
I won't cross the river until I see someone else do is successfully, but that's just me.
Where are you staying? You will have a BLAST!
I'd put spot-on on the horses for ticks. Spray and check yourself well.
You will have a blast!
If you can trailer over to Timber Ridge and ride to the waterfall, you will be really, really happy.
The cabin is called Arabian Nights, it's within riding distance of the Cumberland Valley Trailhead.
The Cumberland Valley Trailhead is the one I was referring to by the store in my PM. O&W trail is gorgeous. We didn't try to cross the river because it had been raining a lot recently and it didn't look very passable.

super, thank you both, and thanks for the PM. I've ordered the Nat Geo Trail map so I can get somewhat acquainted with the area. My horses are billy goats, and in good shape for the trails, I think.
You'll have fun. If you want to challenge your billy goats, ride Wildcat Den....just don't say I didn't warn you!
