    Because I am computer and BB illiterate, I am unable to supply the direct link, but there is a wonderful thread that dublin started called, "dublin and bumpkin's excellent adventure". It's unfortunate that the photos are now missing.

    Maybe someone more gifted than myself can post a direct link? http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c...n_confused.gif

    Many of you posted on that 3-page thread.

    Including Cactuskate. http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c.../icon_wink.gif

    I am one of the many here who thoroughly enjoyed Dublin's posts even though I never had the opportunity to meet her in person. It is abundantly clear that she is a truly remarkable woman with an equally remarkable spouse. Cheers!

    I am ashamed to say that I have been consumed in recent days with petty, insignificant issues that I have been whining about to all and sundry. Reading these posts has reminded me about what is REALLY important. As this was the final subject my mother and I discussed before she finally lost her battle to cancer at only 56, you would think it would be a lesson that would be front and center for me at all times. I am embarrassed to see how easily I am distracted by the day-to-day trivia.

    My mom's final advice to me was to make sure I took nothing for granted, and made time for those things that were important to me. To not put off meaningful things 'til whenever - but to make time for them NOW.

    Dublin, there is no doubt that you made the most of every day - and Mr. Dublin, that you were part of an inspired partnership. There is no greater achievement.

    May the memories of happy times and the love you will forever hold in your heart be a comfort and joy to you always.

    I choose my friends for their good looks, my acquaintances for their good characters, and my enemies for their intellects. A man cannot be too careful in the choice of his enemies.

    I wasn't posting on this board when Dublin was, so our paths never really crossed (but I've been reading this thread and crying too - I'm sorry I didn't get to know her) - but thought I would add here that many of the pictures that are missing from that thread are posted on Dublin's picture site - the link is in her profile and I've posted it below.

    It sounds as though Dublin will be one busy soul up in Heaven, conversing with VHV & Cactuskate, giving pets to all the animals that have gone before her, and riding all of our beloved horses that have crossed.

    I did not have the privilege of meeting Dublin so I was curious on what type of person would be capable of recollecting 23 pages of good wishes, and after checking her photos, reading her latest posts and most of all, Mr. Dublin's tribute, I now know that I have missed out on one special person. I am deeply sorry for all her friends and loved ones left behind, but from what I've read, she is now also surrounded by love as she was here. Remember the good side: you were all fortunate by knowing her. "Vaya con Dios", Dublin

    Dublin, God Bless. Sometimes I think, in posting here, the mortality attached to all the words we read isn't very clear. It really is a privilege to share time with all of you-- and may we never again forget the humanity that have been blessed to know through the help of the that most improbable of friend-gatherers and match-makers, the computer.

    And, from Emily Dickinson,

    Because I could not stop for Death,
    He kindly stopped for me;
    The carriage held but just ourselves
    And Immortality.

    We slowly drove, he knew no haste,
    And I had put away
    My labor, and my leisure too,
    For his civility.

    We passed the school where children played
    At wrestling in a ring;
    We passed the fields of gazing grain,
    We passed the setting sun.

    We paused before a house that seemed
    A swelling of the ground;
    The roof was scarcely visible,
    The cornice but a mound.

    Since then ’t is centuries; but each
    Feels shorter than the day
    I first surmised the horses’ heads
    Were toward eternity.

    Faraway, I always loved "Vaya con Dios." Go with God, my sweet friend.

    Dave, Dee Dee's straight line from bit to elbow, which is also the straight line from Heaven to earth, is also many many lines coming from all of us straight to all of you. We love you.

    http://chronicleforums.com/images/cu...milies/cry.gif This is truly heartbreaking.

    David, I'll keep you and your family in my prayers. Dee Dee has no more pain, no more worries, and no more hurt. She's with her Roulette today with the wind blowing through her hair. http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c...icon_frown.gif And although no longer here in body, she will always be here in spirit. David, she loves you still with something unconditional. She is your guardian angel.

    Oh the photos ... here are Dee Dee and I last March at BJ's, taken by Dave. Absolutely the coldest, windiest day we've had in years and years, and we had SUCH a wonderful time!

    I could not find the Golden Bits or DeeDee and I with Elliot photo....on the webpage.

    The Chloe ones are MO with her daughter, and the Fritz photos are MO on her horse.

    Dublin and David, may angels lift you up and uplift you! (my favorite quote from my grandmother)...

    I only had the pleasure of reading your posts, and even through that have an idea of what a wise and kind person you are. It can only get better from here....the agony of every day life will be over and you can rest assured you have left your makr on the world.

    You are both very strong souls and we should all be proud to call you characters in our lives.

    For Dublin, I did not wright it, but I thought it was fitting. I did not know Dublin, but read her posts, and she was such a wonderful person.
