David, that was such a beautiful tribute to Dee Dee.

Dublin, I'm going to miss you so much. I hope you have a peaceful passing, with a big rowdy party waiting for you on the other side of the rainbow bridge.

I am at a loss for words, my thoughts are with you both. I always enjoyed reading Dublin's posts.
I figured I would post this poem, because it means a lot to me, and brings me comfort. Especially with the recent loss of my grandma, who I love so very much, it puts a lot of my thoughts into words that I really couldn't express, and made things a bit easier to accept.

Nothing Gold Can Stay by Robert Frost

    Nature's first green is gold,
    Her hardest hue to hold,
    Her early leaf's a flower;
    But only so an hour.
    Then leaf subsides to leaf.
    So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
    Nothing gold can stay.

    God bless you both.

Thank you dear David for thinking of us at this time of sorrow for you. Though many of us never met DD in person we have all been touched by her.

God bless you and your family as you face the dark days ahead. I'm praying for you and for a safe passage for DD.

    God Bless~~

    by Kenny Rogers

It's just her and the band and the clean up man
She's countin' up her tips, she did alright
    She says goodnight
She drives home to a three room flat
Checks her machine and she feeds the cat
    She's almost asleep
Before she turns out the light

In her dreams, she rides wild horses
And they carry her away on the wind
And they never make a sound
As they fly above the ground
Tonight she rides wild horses again

She's fallen in love a time or two
Somehow it always fell through - but she's strong
    She carries on
Her life ain't always gonna be this way
She knows she's gonna shine someday
    But for now
    She'll escape until the dawn

In her dreams, she rides wild horses
And they carry her away on the wind
And they never make a sound
As they fly above the ground
Tonight she rides wild horses again

I posted this once before on this thread. I wanted to post it again because I think it is so beautiful.

Oh David - although I never met you or Dublin in person, her posts were always a high point of this board. My deepest sympathy to you and the rest of your family for your sad loss.

You and Dublin were blessed in having the kind of love most of us can only dream about.

Now she goes before you, and will surely greet you when your job on Earth is done.

May Goddess's love surround you, may Her arms cradle your wounded spirit, and may Her strength sustain you. Blessed be.

Dave that is so touching. I know how supportive you are to each other, and how you will miss her.
As we all shall miss her.

I take comfort in knowing that eventually I will see her again, and she will have Bumpkin and Roulette all tacked up waiting and ready to go. http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c...icon_smile.gif

Quietly tearing up here at work - everything I want to say has been said so eloquently already, but I'll attempt to add my own.

David - thinking of you and your family. You and Dee Dee were so lucky to have each other. I didn't know her, but respected her and liked what she had to say. She was a wonderful member of this community. She is brave, strong, and courageous.

I'm sure there will be quite a welcome for her over the Rainbow Bridge.

    Ride free, Dee Dee. Godspeed.

"Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you wake in the morning hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there, I did not die!"
    -Mary Frye

And a note to Weatherford - that was beautiful, it made me cry. I'm so sorry. http://chronicleforums.com/images/cu...milies/cry.gif

I've only known Dublin through her posts, but that was enough. Peace be with her, her family, and everyone whose life she has touched.

How very sad this all is....

Mr. Dublin: just be comforted by knowing that her memory will live on forever in the hearts of so many.

    God speed, Dublin.

Dublin's signature quote at the end of Mr. Dublin's post brought tears. From the beginning of my time on this BB, it appeared at the end of so many wise and wonderful notes from a true gentle soul.

God bless DeeDee and David, their families, and all who love them. Give them all strength to bear the future, and peace in their constant love.

my work makeup has been replaced three times this am. All I can say is that you were both blessed to have had each other during the mortal life and now the loving will carry on in the unencumbered world of the heart and spirit.

    Be Thou my Vision, O Lord of my heart;
Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art
Thou my best Thought, by day or by night,
Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.

High King of heaven, my victory won,
    May I reach heaven’s joys, O bright heaven’s Sun!
Heart of my own heart, whatever befall,
Still be my Vision, O Ruler of all.

I wish I could write as eloquently as everyone else. I am at a total loss for words.
