Ishi is my Akita and he goes everywhere with me. Ishi means the #1 in Japanese. He was such a bad puppy, I was always yell, "Ishi, NO!" that the guys at the barn started calling me Ishi too
But I did have a dog named Sushi breify, she was a Sheba Inu~another Japanese breed.

For some reason I usually read it as "ego on toast", or occasionally "eq on toast" which both crack me up for some unknown reason....

What's funny is that Linny the horse is a stallion and lots of people have told me that "Linny" sounds like girlie name for a big macho stud. II'm definately a girl, if not my husband and son have some very serious questions.

<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>
Aaw, Lauren aren't you sweet? Kryswyn (pronounced Chris-Win accent on the 1st syllable) is my farm name and kennel prefix. It was chosen for me over 10 years ago by a then 12 yo girl named Kristine who suggested we get a farm together and combine her name w/ mine (Wendy) as Kriswen Farm. I suggested we change the vowels to 'y's so it looked Welsh (though if it were really Welsh it would be Cryswyn). When I bought my farm, I was going to name it Hawks something until someone pointed out that the birds flying overhead were NOT hawks but turkey VULTURES!!! http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c...s/icon_eek.gif The sign painter was waiting impatiently for me to come up with a name so I said whatthehell and called it Kryswyn!
And now you know the rest of the story!
