    I had a phone call from Silly Mommy last night, with very sad news.
    Sabra was at a show, and had a hysterical call from her farm manager.. her beautiful brood mare Annie, mother of Drew (Yak), had dropped dead in her paddock.
    dear Sabra, Annie has left you a legacy in your beautiful Drew, and what a wonderful legacy that is.
    She will live on in him, and in all his beautiful babies to come...
    take care, girl
    and hugs and tears for beautiful Annie on her way...

    That's sad. At least you have her son, like I have my favorite mare's filly (now 2) when something like that happens.

    I am so very very sorry, Silly Mommy. You must be just devastated.

    All I can think of at this moment is how unfair life is at times. And the frustration, disappointment and sadness are sometimes so terribly overwhelming.

    I'm working through a disappointment of my own at the moment, so I can understand perhaps a fraction of what you're going through. But to get this news like this is just ...
