Not tack, but neighbor got a lab puppy and it took the family three chewed pairs of barn boots to be trained to not leave them on the floor by the door, but put them away in the closet.

Not tack but my rescue boxer chewed up my $150 mouth guard before I even got to USE it! It was fitted and set that day, put it on my night stand to use that night, and she decided she wanted to use it first!
My Rottie once ate my brand new cordless phone ($100) the night I got it (you know, your supposed to charge it before use...well I charged it but never got to the "use" part!)

Um yeah, youngest JRT (at the time) close to 2 years old ate a hole in my brand new Petrie dressage boots I bought only a few weeks before. I had them out to polish them before a horse show. I only left them down to dry while I went to answer the phone. Took the little sh!t maybe 5 minutes to figure out they were there and go to town. My other JRTs were in the house as well but they were all still asleep. He left the other 3 pairs of shoes that were down next to the boots alone (of course they all were worth a fraction of the price and not my shoes). I guess he was ticked off because I didn't acknowledge him when I came into the house. He had never done anything like that before or since (he's 8 now).

Our resident cribber prefers cribbing on trucks over wood. He has ripped my windshield wiper off, and knocked my side mirror completely off. He also chews down the sides of the bed of our trucks. He recently chewed the NEW mirror I had put on when he knocked the old one off.
I'm hoping to get a fenced off area to park the trucks in when we go to the farm....

My BC went through a stage where he kept doing the doo' on my bathmat. I went through a lot of bathmats. I guess he thought since I did it in there, he could too.
Back when I had cats...much mischief. With well-behaved dogs now, not so much. DH wants a kitten, and I just squash that little thought every time it comes up with "you have to clean the cat box."

We had a rescue GSP that ate the siding off our house by the back door. In the time she was in the back yard to do her business.

Aaaaah that would enrage me, lol. The effing foster dogs have scratched up my whole car by jumping on it. I'm hoping half of it will come out with a serious buffing session, but i know that's partial delusion in action.
My trainer has a horse or two that scrape their teeth along the hood of her truck and have done the same thing with her mirrors. I'm glad they aren't turned out in the main field (slash parking area) during the day.
Another foster dog got a hold of my new paddock boots when I left them outside and mrb turned her outside unbeknownst to me. Thankfully (and i've said this many times now!) she's just a carrier and not a destroyer, so she only chewed through the laces on one. I panicked though, because I couldn't find the other boot. Took me a bit but I did find it intact... 4 feet up in the middle of a bush. Strange little rottweiler.

My dog has a pen close by the horse pens. It's made out of cattle panels with the six by six holes and apparantly he has the same super power as Mr Fantastic because I have taken off a fly mask and set it at least three feet away from the pen - at least, I'm sure of it, and the next thing I knew it was gone and after a little searching I found the chunks of it in his pen. Same thing with the old guy's Orican blanket that I did repair only to have the pony play with the repair so I repaired it three times before I gave up and bought an el cheapo blanket that has survived two seasons just fine. But I carry stuff off and far away now, usually to the shop.
I won't even tell you what the cats have done - one kerosene lamp, pounds of kitty litter and a week of airing out the room, I guess it's an enforced spring cleaning but I could live without it.

Two German Shorthair pups I had outgrew the size gate that I used to block them in the kitchen. I didn't realize it. Went out to the store briefly to pick up a few groceries. This was just before Christmas.
Opened the door to be greeted by two very happy faces. Uh-oh! Looked past them into the living room to find the entire Christmas tree pulled over, all the lights and ornaments chewed to smithereens. And then the worst!!....every wrapped present was torn open and also chewed to ribbons. All I could do was stand there and cry.

I think I would cry too, which is prob why my DH and I have not been beaver enough to do a real holiday yet... Unless we wanted to gave a tree that hung from the ceiling....as it would probably be the only way it would be safe...
Deep breath, we have; 4 dogs - 2 large rotties and 2 cattle dogs, 6 cats - 2 being indoor only the rest indoor outdoor and 2 horses, one of which is on a full lease in an amazing home.
Needless to say, I'm an animal lover and a sucker for ones in need.
Having such a mirage of a animals, having stuff destroyed seems to cine with the territory... No matter how hard you try...Take my brand new loaf if bread that I put on top if the frig, GONE. Lol.
Anyways went and bought another new container for nice horse stuff... Should keep then out for a lil while, I hope.

Had some friends who kept Great Danes and for ten or more years had clebrated Christmas with the Christmas Branch, taken off a local cypress tree and fully decorated and hung oh, 18 inches from the ceiling. Gifts lived in a closet and then were placed on top of the piano IIRC. The things we do . . .

Just last week I discovered that a mouse had eaten my super nice, still fairly new fleece half pad. Worst part? Mouse was dead under the half pad when I lifted it up. EEEEEEK. I feel your pain though.

I had a horse that you couldn't leave blankets or saddle pads, etc within his reach. He would gleefully grab them off a fence and pull them into his stall or paddock. From there it was all downhill. He'd rip, stomp, tromp and then drag them through the dirt. Once he got a hold of it you'd pretty much have to write it off. He taught me to never wash the pads and hang them to dry on the fence.

I used to leave a pair of tall boots in the living room for the longest time. One day, all of a sudden, my pit bull decided they didn't match the decor, so he did me the favor of chewing up/eating/utterly destroying the entire tall calf part of one of them, leaving just the shoe part of the boot in the middle of the living room as a reproach. Luckily, they'd cost me nothing (handed down from a friend), but I was so ticked off!
He also got into the garbage one day while I was at work and chewed his way through a Wendy's bag. It was stuck on his head like a bonnet when I got home. I laughed forever. I'm still laughing.
