I don't think I've seen this posted yet...apologies if it's out there already!
Some farm in Iowa has a cam on a pair of nesting Eagles:
One chick hatched yesterday, and another this morning. One egg left to go
You can also occasionally catch a couple of horses on the ground under the nest.
I think this is the same one I posted last year! It was fun to watch
COTH's official mini-donk enabler
"I am all for reaching out, but in some situations it needs to be done with a rolled up news paper." Alagirl
Yep, it is. Same highway noise as last time, and comparing it to the screen shot I took last year...same tree!
I am terribly entertained with the assortment of dead critters I have seen on the nest. First it was half a fish, then one of the little sparrows, and now a squirrel.
Giving this a bump!
The eaglets are nearly all grown up with real feathers and everything. It is a rainy afternoon in Decorah, and the youngsters have been flapping to dry their wings...and beating their poor, drenched mother over the head.
