LOL...what is the story behind that shot? I'm guessing he was getting up and it was captured in that moment?

We had a horse do something similar and ended up on his bum like that... but he wouldn't get up! He just sat there staring at us like "No, I'm good. I'm just gonna stay right here for a minute."

Obviously the horse is not from the South! You can have Coke, sweet tea or water, but no Pepsi allowed!

Pepsi originated in New Bern, NC. Of course you are allowed Pepsi in the south!

When I first moved from NC to PA, someone asked me how "yankee" is defined. I told him that the definition of a yankee is anyone who lives further north than you do.

Native Georgians selectively ignore that fact!

You know, you could almost "spin" the picture to say that maybe the horse is choosing to pray at a Coke "altar".

Cloudy and Hattie drink Coke.....and Beck's. (One from Deutschland and one from Minnesota) They also drink orange juice, distirbuted by Coke of course.

I don't want to say how many decades of my horses have drunk Co-Cola, as we say, but we used to ride 3 miles to a little store and buy the short bottles of Coke and put peanuts in them. Then we'd drink 1/2 and give our horses 1/2 of it. I always thought the nice notch on the side of a horse's mouth was perfect for a Coke bottle to fit in. (even with the bit there)

Now - the native southern horse would demand RC and a Moonpie.

LOL! Maybe in rural areas, but here on the coast, it's Co-Cola! (I've never had an RC or a moonpie, much less have my horses had one ever. I do know a lot of guys at the crime lab who drink Mountain Dew. What's that stuff floating around in there, anyway?)

(My first 2 coke drinking horses were both South Carolinians. And they drank Co-Cola with peanuts.)

Ahhh! You must be from the Mobile area... Forget beads, there's nothing like having Moonpies thrown at you during Mardi Gras. Have to say, would definitely prefer an RC Cola over a Pepsi any day. (but Coke trumps them all!)

And, dang you, now I'm craving a Moonpie.... I haven't had one in years!

Mine prefers Mountain Dew - he'll drink a Coca~Cola if that's all that's available, though.

He's much more of a beer drinker, though - straight from the bottle. Red Stripe seems to be his favorite.

He so much as hears me crack open a bottle and his head is over the stall door, ears perked and nickering.
