I am thinking about doing some advertising through email and would appreciate thoughts and feedback on it

I have a full time job but braid on the side. I have not been actively seeking out new clients as I have a few I enjoy braiding for but this year because I have an awesome work schedule (Mon-Thurs) that accommodates all the shows and a new car payment, I am going to try and add clients. I have a good reputation, etc, in the horse show world.

I'm thinking I might send out email "flyers" with four pics (two manes, two tails), prices and info with a list of show availability.

My only concern is I would not want folks to feel it is invading privacy (not sure if that is worded correctly LOL!) by sending emails? I have most of the barns emails and/or they are listed publicly on association sites.

What say the ladies of COTH??

Honestly, I never open emailed ads. They go into the spam filter.

I think your best bet is to place a small, business card ad in your local h/j and dressage club's newsletters (online and hardcopy if they still mail them).

And print flyers to post at all your local shows and show barns.

Mail them directly to local trainers and barns.
