    Default MSM dosing for dogs

I'm thinking of starting my girl on MSM - she's a 9 year old Lab/Chow mix who has started to have occasional stiffness but is not quite ready to be on something like Rimadyl.

I have quite a bit of MSM left over from when I had my mare on it - just the plain MSM you can get at Southern States. My question is how to determine a safe daily dose for a dog around 60 pounds.
    Any input/advice?
Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue.

I can't remember wher I got the dose information from, but I have my 44 lb ACD mix on 1/2 tsp of pure equine MSM per day. she is not having any trouble with it. My understanding is that there isn't a big risk from overdose...what you would see is some GI upset from too much. I worked her up to it, watching for loose stool.

I looked on SmartPak's ingredient comparison chart for the supplements they sell.
