I like mares. They remind me of myself: stubborn know it alls who only acknowledge you if you have food.

I'd like to see what the Gucci dress sheet looks like!
and I know Hermes makes saddles, but didn't they have bridles once upon a time too? I remember seeing Anne Kursinski on the back cover of Practical Horseman advertising them.

Hermes bridles are only by special order now. Lucassb has one, its gorgeous, you can see pictures of it on The Outside Course, in the classifieds section, its for sale.

Yes, they made bridles as well. The leather is to die for, and the fancy stitching includes an "H" in the middle...
hahahahahahaha......obviously I cannot afford them as I can't even spell it!
The only reason I know how to spell it is because I've seen them in high-end stores and couldn't resist picking them up to see the price
Thanks for the picture Lucassb! What a lovely bridle.
and the link to Gucci was fascinating: there was actually a little video about the bit logo and it showed a saddle with the Gucci pattern embossed into the knee flap!!! Lord only knows how much that would cost!
I own a Gucci Girth!! It is very distinctive looking and the leather is to die for.
The girth itself is leather, but there is a 3rd overlay piece to it (its removable, almost like an overgirth) that is nylon in the red & green Gucci colors.
Very, very neat

I dunno about Gucci, but if I could afford it (and had a horse!) mine would be all decked out in Hermes...even if we never saw the inside of a show ring!
I took a few sneaky Ipod Touch pics of the Hermes saddlers in Paris...very, very cool:
