    Default The stallion Byars?

I have a son of Byars and am wondering if anyone might have a photo of him, or know how I could get one?

I am also curious to know if anyone else has Byars offspring?

Have you tried emailing the people who stand him?

He bred 6 mares last year, so he's definitely still around. Perhaps a call would be more fruitful?

Thanks, Simkie! I left a vmail yesterday and a nice lady from Texas called me back today. She said that Byron Cook, who owned Byars, died last year. She said the estate owns him now, and he is still at stud but just not covering as many mares as in the past. She said there are three foals by him about to be born.

She offered to mail me a photo of him! I'm so excited. My boy was born in 2003 in Florida when John Franks owned him. She told me that when Franks died, Byron Cook bought Byars from the John Frank estate and moved him to Texas.

This will be a great addition to my OTTB scrapbook about my boy!

Hi, would you be able email me a pic of Byars? I have his 2002 daughter "Brief the Lady" and would love to have a picture of him!
