Default Congrats to A Fine Romance

Selena O'Hanlon and A First Romance completed the Red Hills 3* XC today; jumped clear and didn't have all that many time faults and jumped from 26th after dressage to 14th. With a good show jumping performance they should climb even more.

Jessica Phoenix and A Little Romance are in the lead in Open Prelim A at Red Hills. Double Clear xc, and hung on to their 4 10ths of a point (.40) lead over New Zealander Joe Meyer. Show Jumping will be telling there.

My fingers are crossed and I am following their weekend through their Facebook posts. They often put up Iphone clips of these beautiful horses competing.

    Thumbs up

Thank you viney and everyone for the kind comments and good wishes.
I have been preoccupied with family matters lately, and wasn't aware they were competing this week.
Must join Holly on FB and check for pics!

There were some terrific pics of both of them from a couple of weeks ago, A First Romance's first Advanced of the season, and only his second outing at Advanced.

A First Romance is a full TB, here is his pedigree www.pedigreequery.com/a+first+romance

and A Little Romance is TB X Trakehner.

Just finished watching the 3* showjumping. Other than the round by Mystery Whisper, which was about as good as one can get, AFirstR's round was among the best of the afternoon. XC on Saturday had some moments, but he got around and had one of the quicker rounds of the day. Gail, I will send you a short video clip from the second water complex once I pull it from my camera this evening.

Thank you so much Peregrine, I'd love that.
and thank you everyone for the very kind comments.

O'Hanlon Eventing (Morag and Selena) posted a very proud comment on their FB page about A First Romance - no jumping faults XC and double clear SJ over a very tough course.
14th is not too shabby for his first *** in top company. I know they are very happy with him.

A Little Romance WON her Preliminary division, 4th after dressage and double clear XC and SJ.

Molly Malone, thank you for asking. I can't remember the mare line off the top of my head, but would be happy to check my files and get back with that info.

No pedigree link in allbreed database (except to an Appaloosa - and as I was at Red Hills this weekend, know we can rule THAT one out. LOL)

I, too am interested in bloodline as she's listed in the program as TB/TK. Really nice little mare.

I have said it before and will say it again.

BREED TO THESE OLDER PROVEN STALLIONS PEOPLE, BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE AND YOU WILL WISH YOU HAD.

Ditto. If I had a suitable mare I'd breed her to A Fine Romance in a heartbeat. He has been a treasure for the use of Tbs in sportshorse breeding in America and is the total package.
