Default CL trolling and found some tall gal Dehners.

If only I were three inches taller...

If only I were closer, I think they'd fit perfectly if I took the calves in a bit

Must... resist... own a pair of Dehners already and a pair of Ariats.

But those look nice, and they'd fit.

But I don't need any more boots.

    But stillllllll....

    Darn you COTH

Heh...I'm 5'7" and my Dehner's are 21" tall. Do these really have a foot size of 11.5?

If the foot size isn't quite as big as it seems, I would be tempted to get them and have them trimmed into a spanish top. The boots mentioned above are tall enough, but I really want a spanish top and the extra inch onthe craig's list boots might allow for that.

FWIW - I am a 11 foot size, tall height, regular calf in Ariat. I measured my boots to see how they compared to the Dehners and the foot on mine measured 12" from front to back for a size 11. So most likely, the Dehners are more on the order of a size 10ish?

    OK, I hate you OP!
Thanks to you, I remembered to try scouring Craigslist again and found some delicious Dehner's in my weird size and sent a check yesterday!

I corresponded with the seller quite a bit back when she first ran the ad, but gave up when I realized they could never be made to fit my calf. The foot size is ten.

They really are barely broken in.

    So sorry, Paddys Mom!

They could very well fit me, but I am wary of people on CL, mostly due to things like "heel" vs. "heal"...

Then what are you doing hanging around a suspect group like COTHers?

    Sorry, what?

By the way, for anyone thinking the calf may be too big, the email I got from the owner said the measurement may be way off.

Just FYI, on the measurements...my size 8 Effinghams (which have been in my closet for EVER), and are a standard/regular, not custom/tall/short or anything special Women's Size 8:
    foot, 11 and 1/4" long
    calf 15" circumference outside boot
17" from spur rest to top of boot
21" from bottom of heel to highest point of boot
3 3/4" at widest point of foot

So my guess is that these boots are a bit taller than average, a foot size 9 or so, slightly wider than average and the calf circumference, a bit wide, too.
The calf on the pictured Dehners, with their boot trees in, looks wider than the calf on my Effinghams (also with boot trees).

    Nice boots! (but I don't think they're going to fit a women's 11 1/2!)

Did any of you buy them? Because I just measured my dress boots and they are only an inch shorter.

Maybe I should take the plunge.

Wow. Those would probably fit me! Alas, I have my newish MH boots which will never wear out because I dislike them so.

Great line from the movie Gosford Park:

Constance, Countess of Trentham: He's still got that vile little dog, I see.

Lady Sylvia McCordle: Yes, the ones we hate last forever.
