I know quite a few of you followed my saga of the farm that the owner wouldn't budge and wanted above appraisal. Well the next farm we pursued we got! It's only 10.3 acres, but has an old great shape farm house, a small bank barn, an equipment shed and two car garage (along with slaughter and smoke house).
We closed on Tuesday and are excavating this week for the new 84 X 36 foot barn that will be built within the next month! Hoping to have everyone moved in by April 1st!
I was wondering what was happening and looked for an update on the last. Off topic day. Congratulations, I'm so glad it worked out. Did the schools work out too?
My oldest will be changing schools, but she is ok with that, because she is going to have a barn for her ponies/horse and can ride and play every day after school. She is 8 and a horse nut to put it nicely.
We are sending out the zoning permit, and we have reason to believe it will be completed soon as the officer wants our goats moved (crazy reasons, but it's just better they are not here at the house). Then we build the 14 stall barn. This is hopefully all completed by April 1st! It is going to be a whirlwind process that lasts a month, but I am so excited.
There are pictures of the house (it's old be kind) at: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...2841273&type=3 That is my youngest in the pictures (she is NOT horse crazy and will be glad not to get dragged to the barn to teach lessons). However she has asked to ride her pony a few times in the last weeks.
