    Talking Why I like geldings!

This is Riot and my new horse meeting for the very first time:

    http://youtu.be/06zC8Ik5yeo

"Why I like Geldings. First time ever together. Hi, yep, You smell funny, no YOU smell funny, okay, I'm okay, you're okay, I'm gonna go over there, I'll go this way, eh I was thinking - maybe we can grab a beer later.."

(Notice also the jumper in the making, going over the cavaletti all on his own!! )

Looks like they each did a very thorough evaluation to determine they were each in fact geldings and weren't hiding the goods out of sight.

    That's what I was thinking!

Geldings ARE good boys. I have my first one ever in my life, after one stallion and, um, seven? mares. So nice to have a horse who is the same every day. And I love how geldings play bitey-face. I've never seen mares do that more than once or twice, then someone gets their feelings hurt and leaves. Bitey-face is cute.

As long as flymasks aren't involved. Then bitey-face is less cute. Well, depending on which horse is wearing the fly mask...

    Awww... so cute.
    Yup - gotta love geldings.

Whenever I took Cash or Vern offsite - whether for a weekend or an hour - the first thing they'd do when I brought the missing one back was the Parts Check.

What?? Did they worry they'd leave them somewhere
