Question Back On Track Royal Wraps

I'd appreciate any feed back or experinces with these? My vet had mentioned them, so I have bought a pair. Will use them on my Paint who is recovering nicely from a check ligament, but who LOVES to take his wraps off. He has had one if those spiky boots on, but I'm not liking the idea if him out in it, and vet says he should get turned out. He is fairly sedate in turnout by himself.
Are these something he can wear for hours or during turnout? I will drench them in Raplast to try and keep his lips off of them.

Definitely not something I would turn out in.

Can you tell me why you wouldn't? They seem to stay put and with the addition of the Raplast I like the idea of these better than a standard stable wrap. Just curious.

Bandages of any sort are not safe for turnout. They are not made to stay in place when a horse is moving around so could slip and cause injuries.

If you want to turn out in leg protection, you need boots. Back on Track makes a therapeutic exercise boot if you want to go that direction.

In very limited instances, I have turned out in standing wraps. However, the horse was in a round pen no longer than a 10m circle with no room to trot/canter. I consider it more like outdoor stall rest than turnout.
