He IS a hunk! You 2 look fabulous together. I can't wait until I actually look like a dressage rider (newly converted hunter rider here) - great inspiration. And yes, what breed is he?

Thanks Guys, Sorry I've worked to hard on my posture while riding to rent it out.

As for my horse, Freddy, he is registered Half Arab. His sire was full arab and his dam, well, they weren't quite sure what she was. They purchased her at auction when she was 3 months old. She was a product of the PMU industry. It is suspected that she was either Percheron/QH, Percheron/Paint or who knows?? There is definately a bit of draft somewhere. (he wears a size 2 shoe and only stands 15.2 or 15.3 at the most).

you should get the award for "dressage is for all horses and all horses can do dressage" better known as "My Off breed kicked your WB ass" award

if that award doesn't exist - it should !

Unfortunately, I did not get any last year as at the end of July (our 2nd show of the year) he suffered a partially torn suspensory. He has recovered beautifully and I am looking forward to this year.

Thank you, I really am proud of both of our accomplishments.

I started working with my current coach at the end of June 2008 and she has brought us so far. My self confidence and self esteem had been pretty much obliterated by a past coach, to the point that in May 2007, I actually contemplated getting out of horses all together. I spent the next year working on my own and ended up having a serious riding accident in which I came off and actually cracked my helmet in the process. I went and worked with a friend in Calgary for a weekend and than within 2 weeks found my current coach and have been working with her as much as possible. She has only ridden my boy maybe 6 times (if I am remembering correctly).

Wow, Paula. You've both changed so much! I second mbm -there ought to be an award for "my off-breed kicked your warmblood's ass".
