I am also expecting a Sir Wanabi foal this year, same matching as last year (mare is by Don Gregory) when I unfortunately lost the foal from dystocia at delivery. Needless to say, I will be on pins and needles until the end of May! This is probably her last foal before she gets to enjoy full retirement, i'm a nervous wreck...
thanks everyone for posting foal pictures, so nice to see:-)

My first foal arrived. Very beautiful colt by Romanov out of a Wolkenstein II - Matcho - Grenadier mare out of the damline of Stallion Dresemann and Grafenburg.
He is built very uphill and is very selfconfident already. I was not able to take a fullbody pic. He was out for the second time yesterday. His canter looks very promising. loose and elastic. Did ot want to trot though ... Hope to be able to post more pics/Video in a few days on my facebook or homepage.
Here is the link to the facebook album:

Our foals are born in our Southern Hemisphere spring/summer so they're a little older than the rest on here.
I had two foals this season, both by Prestige VDL.
Timbermill Prestiva (Eva) is huge and shows all the signs of being a superior dressage competitor. She is the sweetest, most uncomplicated foal I've ever had. She's also the biggest by a long way!
Timbermill Zurich (Ricky) is uber-refined with an exquisite head. He's cheeky and confident and stunning. He went to his first show yesterday aged 10 weeks (a big Royal event) and won or placed in every class and came away with Reserve Champion Junior Sport Horse against 2-3 year olds. I'm so pleased with him!

This morning our star mare Injoy (Ideal/Argentinus/Gepard) presented to us a darling chestnut filly with blaze and two small socks by Sir Gregory. Can't wait to see how she unfolds. "Sophie" has a lovely, dishy face and well set long neck on a big sloping shoulder.
We have two more mares that will probably foal within the next week, and then three more after that in early April. Whew!

Our one and only foal for 2012 arrived this morning! Our Ferro/Donnerhall mare was bred to Rashka and we got a lovely long legged bay colt with four white high stockings and a large broken blaze. He has a great trot already, but haven't seen any other gaits yet...

Love him! Had an appy that was born very similar to this one, as he got older he "roaned" out and the darker color faded to a very cool varnished color. He now looks like a leopard appy, but the Appaloosa registry chose "roan" as his color.
