Well, they aren't selling Clydes, they're selling beer to the general beerdrink(ing man). Better than last year's commercial.
The SB commercial I want to see is a Budweiser 'friends don't let friends drive drunk. Enjoy Bud responsibly - we want to keep you around' one. With the horses and the dog in some sports bar's parking lot stealing keys from drunk fans, and then giving them a lift in the (empty) beer wagon!
We can advise on the horse moves - pull keys from pockets with lips, then put hoof over keys and look innocent....... dog hides keys in underseat box...... I'm sure some of us could recommend Moves our Equines have Pulled.....
That proves whoever is currently running their marketting department has never actually -seen- a proper Clydesdale commercial.
Last year's was the left one, this year must be the right...
Dear InBev: The Budweiser Clydesdales are not -just-horses, they are cultural icons. Go ahead. Anthropormorphise them. We really, really enjoy it. But for Heaven's sake, stop treating them like "just another hitch."
Yes, they're cute; Yes, they command attention: DO SOMETHING WITH IT!!!
That was fun. My favorite was "The Next Generation," which was the New Year's Eve one where the vet helps with a baby Clyde foaling. Can't find it anywhere anymore though. I'd buy a Bud or two (even tho I hate beer) to support the Bud Co. if they'd put that commercial back on YouTube or bring the horses back on the commercials. LOL
