Default Yes, Someone Wrote a Masters Thesis About Dressage People!

We have to get this online so we can find out more about ourselves! Of course, it needs to be updated by someone to include the internet "subculture".

Wonder what it said and if it changed. 30yrs, almost, time for an update?!

How funny! I was at UMass in Amherst when Anne Skillings was there!

Bummer. I thought it was the thesis, not just the cover. It would be an interesting read.

Well it certainly is archived at the University. Someone should be able to get a copy. We need to find out what we are like!

Here ya go - put in an interlibrary loan request to UMass from your local library and you can read it. I wouldn't suggest everyone do that at once - UMass might wonder about the sudden interest in this thesis!

There is a service that sometimes allows you to purchase theses online but this thesis is not available. Could not find it online at all. I'm sure if you contacted her she would send you a copy...

The student that found this thesis, posted the following on the UDBB:

I have the whole read in my possession!!! I will talk to the library tomorrow at UMass and see what my options are in terms of publication or sharing it with you all. I also have a thesis on the philosophies of the different schools of dressage.

I'll update when there is further info.

That's hilarious. I am so not surprised it is in the NEast, LOL! I'd love to read the conclusions.

Sociology major myself. Would love to read this, though I personally would be horrified to have anything I wrote 30 years ago be published on the internet! Perhaps someone should ask the author how she would feel about that?, even if it is archived in a University library.
