    I'm right behind you.
They had me with the foxhunting scenes and Mary's one-nighter with the Turkish Gentleman.
    Now I am hooked.

Unfortunately PBS here airs it at 8P on Sundays and that is normally my time to go horizontal on the couch "just for a minute" before doing my last barncheck at 9 - so half the time I miss it

May have to hit the library to catch up...

Count me in as hooked too. Watched the first episode of season 2 and had to go back and watch season 1 online during my lunch hours for a whole week.

I am hooked on the new Sherlock Holmes on PBS too...

Me too! I am so addicted... have to see this past week's episode on pbs.org tonight though, since I forgot to record it Sunday... I've been twitchy all week because I haven't had one straight hour to spare to watch it...

Me too,... but explain why they can only make 6 episodes a year...?

My other addiction, and there are only 3 episodes of it, is Masterpiece Mystery, Sherlock.

I know! But the news of Season three has me thrilled.

I do wish someone would just kill Mrs. Bates. I want Mr. Bates to be happy.

It's a UK thing. Also, their shows usually run longer than an hour. It was a big deal when BBC American announced that each time they started running a new series of Top Gear, they'd run the episodes unedited, meaning they had to allow an hour and fifteen minutes. And each series is 6-7 episodes.

I ADORE Downton. Though I'm still trying to work out why the credits sequence for the second series opens with a nice establishing shot of Isis the yellow lab's butt? I mean, it's a cute lab butt, however....

Quoted to preserve for posterity. UK viewers and those watching ahead on line will get it.

And I can't decide if I want to beat Thomas to death with a frying pan or not. Apparently one of the Comic Relief fundraisers had the Downton actors doing a skit that lampshaded how he and O'Brien are just...evil for the sake of evil. Thomas is introduced as "Thomas, the evil footman" and O'Brien says she has to be evil, her hair looks like knitting.

That Comic Relief parody is spot-on hilarious. Kim Cattrall as Cora is unbelievably perfect--even the voice.

Because each episode costs something like a million dollars to make. This show is exorbitantly expensive... but oh gawd, I LOVE it!!!!!!

Anyone else seen the Christmas special yet? It made me a little verklempt.

Love it! And wasn't Mrs. Bates the same actress who played Catherine of Aragon in the Henry VIII series? I loved her there, but Mrs. Bates is eviiiil.

I love ANYTHING Maggie Smith is in...

Meeeee toooooo! I want to watch ahead online and can't figure out how to do it without buying the DVDs.

    Any help out there?!

I even obsessively read articles about it online. I need a 12 step program, except I don't want to be cured . . .
