    Default Is it acceptable?

Would I be laughed out of any venue for clipping a little quarter mark on my horse's flank? I mean just clipping the quarter mark, not clipping the rest of the horse to form a quarter mark, just clipping in the letter (A) that I want? I'm good at clipping regular quarter marks, would this be more diffcult? I'm guessing there is a reason it isn't done this way.

There was a Chinese Eventer (Alex Hua Tian) that clipped the stars off the flag on his horse for the olympics. So it's been done, although depending on which venue you want to go in to you may be less welcomed

Yeah, it seems kind of like we'd have to know the venue to really tell you if it would be appropriate. I know some where it would go over well and some where it would be a bad idea. Personally, I like little touches like that but I don't make the rules.

We used to clip all sorts of things on our horses flanks. Okay, maybe it wasn't "we" but it was our trainer clipping stuff into our horses' rump (with our permission). I loved it!

It really depends on the venue. It would be perfectly fine for a schooling show but highly frowned upon at WEF.
