I am working on an article on tractor and ATV/golf-cart/gator/etc. attachments.... so what are the attachments/implements you use most often? What are your favorites? Why? I need make/model when possible so I can include them in the article. Thank you!

My Newer Spreader

FWIW I have a large 4 WD golf cart with a large hydrolic dump bed. I. It will fit 4 manure tubs or 3 bales of hay. If I were taller and could stack the hay higher it would easily haul 6 or 9 bales. The bed is larger than many we saw on some of the gator type vehicles

The one that gets the most use is the home modified Tractor Supply dump cart http://tsc.tractorsupply.com/search?...rchButton.y=11
on the walk behind tractor. The FEL on the tractor will do the same thing but the walk behind is much easier to maneuver in tight spaces and weighs less so it doesn't tear up the ground, it'll also go across a steep slope where the tractor is flirting with tip over.
Tractor wise we use the Woods finish mower a lot, the Kelly backhoe and the King Kutter (TSC brand) or Landpride bush hog. The box grader sees some use in snowy weather working the driveway. Most of our implements came with the tractor and we bought the Woods off CL.

We purchased a Polaris Ranger UTV for our small farm. It's the best: has a dump bed that can carry a lot and drives like a car with automatic transmission so my elderly mother can hop in it and drive it back to the pond on the property. It is 4WD so it can go anywhere. We purchased a quick change plow blade for snow management. My DH used several different kinds of UTV's while serving in Iraq and the Polaris is the only one that survived the harsh treatment dished out by the soliders!

Almost 10 years ago we purchased an electric golf cart (EZ-GO).
We use it for barn chores; pull the feed cart, carry water to the paddocks, bring grain and hay into the barn, fix fence.
Also, great to chauffeur older relatives and visitors around the farm.
No noise, no fumes.
Love the electric car.

After several surgeries and now on a lifetime restriction on what I can lift, I was not using my gator much, as I was not supposed to lift stuff up there any more.

So, I traded it for this little handy subcompact belly mower loader/pallet fork, three point hitch, PTO "toy tractor":

It has been great, small enough not to damage the yard when mowing it, big enough to mow pastures and pens without pushing it, I can put a pallet on the forks and scoot anything on it to lift it and carry it, so I can on the bucket also, without breaking the Dr's requirements of not lifting.

Those, the front end loader and pallet forks are the only two attachments I have for it and they do all I need, but there are many more available.

I have the big tractor for the real work, but for getting in the horse pens to clean, to pull the manure spreader, to pull the welding wagon around, to carry hay, posts and other supplies, I have been using it very much, much more than I was using the gator, really, or the skidloader I had before, that was so hard to see out of the back.
If I see the need, I may get a little cart for the back, but with the loader, I have not seen a need for that, it carries so much and I can load it low and dump it as high as needed.

The loader comes off just pulling two levels and unhooking the hydraulics, the mower goes on by driving over it and it hooks itself, just hook the hydraulics to it.
I have been using it with the loader/pallet forks and mower both on it and doing fine.

I hear such sub compact tractors are hot for landscapers, replacing the smaller skidloaders everyone was using before, because they do so much more.

I had a spray boom built for the back of the 4 wheeler so I can the pasture for weeds or use liquid fertilizer. I have a small 25 gal spray tank that I strap on the rear rack and the spray boom fits right behind the tank and away I go killing weeds! My 4 wheeler, 450 Polaris, was a wonderful purchase, don't know what I did with out it...

By far the most used implement in my husbands arsenal, is our EZ Groomer http://www.ezgroomer.com/. We use it at least once a day to groom our arena. We use it with our honda rancher ATV. In the summer when we move the riding outside into a natural dirt arena we use it with our John Deere 4300 tractor to do the initial work up of the dirt. It works great and was not as expensive as the TR3 rake or some of the others.

Like Bluey, I have a sub-compact tractor...in my case, a Kubota BX22. (current model is a BX25 http://www.kubota.com/product/BX1860/BX1860.aspx) By no stretch of the imagination, the FEL is the most valuable "attachment" around our property. The BH does get a lot of use and actually stays on the machine most of the time for the extra traction it brings when using the FEL. I have a host of other attachments that include a back blade, a landscape rake (used to maintain our stone driveways), a post hole digger, a utility platform for the 3-pt and a chipper/shredder. I also have a 3-pt attachment with tow-balls on it so it's easy to move my utility trailer and horse trailer around on the property without hooking them up to my Grand Cherokee.

I don't mow with the Kubota. I have a ZTR for that. Unlike Bluey's newer Deere, the mid-mount mower for my particular Kubota isn't "plug and play", so I sold it to the barn owner where we board our horses after I bought the dedicated mower.
