    Default FTGH - Morga-Flinger Gelding, 8 y.o., 15 hh., Collegeville, PA

Harpo is a red dun Morgan/Haflinger cross, 8 y.o., 15 hh., chunky air flower. He is green but smart and willing if you aren't pushy about it. He loads, ties, cross ties, showers, tolerates fly spray, is good to have his feet done, and is bare foot.He has done a couple of pleasure trail rides. He stands still at the mounting block and can go bareback. He is steerable on the lightest of rein cues or body weight shifts. He's adorably cute, too! I'm posting this for a friend who does not have the time to ride him. He needs consistent work to do his best.

Here's a video of him last fall: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4jn2bzc5pzQ.

There are a couple of other videos there as well. Just look for "Harpo".

Aww he's cute! He looks like a character. Who tries hard!

Ok just watching all the vids... totally amazed by the clicker training!

Thanks! He has come a very long way - from totally freaking at fly spray and water to standing quietly for both.

He is, however, needle phobic. I'm working on that, but my last resort (which actually works well for my other horse) is using Dermaplast to freeze the skin just before the needle goes in.

He is totally cool with harness if someone wants to teach him to drive. We put the harness on and it was like he was born to it. He didn't even flinch at the crupper!

He is an adorable redhead! Too bad you live in Pennsylvania. He reminds me of my incredibly goofy German Shepherd.....as a "Morga-flinger."

Wow! I haven't seen a horse that well trained with all the basics in a long, long time. Great job! Someone is going to hit the horsey lottery with him. What a wonderful family horse he would be or husband horse or trail horse or even lower level dressage. Very nice boy!

And he's clicker trained! That would be a plus for me.
