My favourite part is that there is a big sign that says SMILE! at the end of the ring. That cracked me up. I guess you have to keep reminding yourself of that when you get to ride naughty ponies.

I don't think he is as bad as Ed though. (naughty grey pony that kept dumping that game little boy whose name escapes me). Ed is still the King of the Naughty Ponies.
I love cooking with wine. Sometimes I even put it in the food.

    What a tactful, young rider!

I had a naughty mare once...much worse than this pony. I rode her in open hunter on the flat classes, and if I was not careful, she would take off at a run, head straight up in the air, not caring one iota where she was going. She would also do this when I rode her in the pasture on occasion. Scarey, scarey to have a horse run without thought as to where it was going.

I finally discovered that the bit I was using was hitting her in her soft palate whenever I took ahold of the reins to any degree. It taught me that naugtiness often has underlying causes other than the creature is out to kill me.

That rider did very well. She stayed in control, kept a cool head and rewarded the horse for stopping. She didn't flip out, punish the horse after the fact or anything like that. She has the chops.
