    Default Wahl Cordless Clippers

Anyone have any experience with the Arco SE model? Hubby got it for me for Christmas, we charged both battery packs fully, I used it for maybe 1/2 hour on the 26th, then put away in the house. Took it out today to work with horse and both battery packs were dead? I never even used the second one.

Also, it does seem small, even though it is rated for horses.

Thanks...just hoping he didn't get me the 'wrong' ones!

I'm not sure if I have the exact ones you got...mine are silver, double battery wahl cordless as well. My batteries have been awesome but from day 1, they basically wouldn't clip my horses. I ended up using my SO's $20human hair clippers from cvs, which did a MUCH better job. I personally would just send them back.

Bought mine from a clinic I attended...with little use and a short time later, both batteries wouldn't hold a charge. I wasn't very happy....

I bought this unit more than five years ago and the batteries are still good. I have picked up the clippers after letting them sit in the barn for a month or two and still have power.

NiMH batteries can be finicky. Perhaps they sat around too long on a shelf somewhere. You might try conditioning them:

I have the Wahl Pro cordless clippers, and the battery lasted a couple of years before no longer holding a charge. I went to a battery store and bought a replacement rechargeable battery (which actually lasts longer than the first one did).
