Default Dare to be different or Dare to be BARE???

Ok, so Kathy is that how you folks do it in OK??? Is it the Knabstrupper that makes you want to take off your clothes to ride or do the get a free naked guy if you book a breeding? Color me shocked when I opened up that magazine, guess I don't get out much. Adding this so maybe mods will let this stay....will you place the same ad in COTH?

It was the heat this summer. Honest. Just no more clothes to take off!

It was just a fun idea and the photo shoot is part of a fund raiser calendar we're working on for the Leg-Up Equestrian Assistance Program. We have been really, really fortunate in that several very attractive equestrians donated their time and their bodies for photo shoots. No worries, though...it was all "G" rated .

I saw the ad in my Warmbloods Today issue a few days ago and I actually thought it was great. If you're going to go for grabbing attention with "spots" then you might as well go for the gusto! Made me laugh...

Tacky, stupid, cheap. That's my opinion. Not a stallion ad I would take seriously.

What? The human body is a thing of beauty, not something to be ashamed of. And the calendar is for a good cause. Some bodies are more beautiful than others. I'd pay to have a picture on the Old Spice model au naturel on horseback.

Remember when the older British women posed nude for a calendar? Neat!

And I'm betting the Stallion Owner is glad you will be taking your business elsewhere! Your over the top response could also be considered tacky,....

I remember that and agree completely! The ad is fun, really cute and interesting.

Now 1/2 the stuff on the TV..... that's disgusting, and even during prime time.

Love the ad! I love anything that is different and pushes the envelope a bit.

I like it! Has a bit of the flair of Kathy's sense of humor.

I was a little concerned though when I saw the photo in the "small" version. I was a little worried she had put Jos up on him in the nude! Perhaps with just a helmet and bowtie

Cute AD and the guy is not hard on the eyes....although he looks a tad uncomfortable.

I rememeber an add in the 80's of a tack shop that had a shirtless woman sitting on her horse from the backside. It's tag line was, wether you ride western, english or bareback....we have the equipment for you. I cannot tell you any other tack catalog cover from the past 25 years, but thats one I will never forget.

There was a naked eventer calendar in Britain a few years back. A naked 6'4+ William Fox-Pitt will send you running screaming in the OTHER direction. This guy would send me running and screaming TOWARD him.

Horse isn't bad, either. He reminds me of a Dalmatian with patches. I wonder if the genetics are similar?
