    Default Tricks for finding distances?

I took about a year off riding and got back to it recently, everything has seemed to come back quickly except for my eye!! I do okay when the jumps are small or with singles, but when the course goes up I consistently miss. Being inside also I think also makes it worse because there is less time to plan and see the distance.

I get anxious on course which I think might be part of the problem. I never used to be like that but I think just time off/only riding once a week has eroded the confidence I used to have.

any tricks from people who have found themselves in the same spot. Where should I be looking before the jump? I have been focusing on the top rail but that doesn't seem to be working for me. counting helps, when I remember to do it!
