Just wondering. If you don't have an obvious, suitable candidate selected, what are your other options? Send your critters to an appropriate sanctuary along with a cash donation for their continued upkeep?
My ears hear a symphony of two mules, trains, and rain. The best is always yet to come, that's what they explained to me. —Bob Dylan
Mare goes to one of 3 specified retirement farms, with money in my estate to pay for the upkeep and the executor in charge of managing it. Retirement farm to have liberal say in when to put her down along with vet advice, along with restrictions on what not to do (for ex, no colic surgery - she needs it, she's getting euthed).
My non-horsie husband will inherit our cats and dogs. He is to put my two pature pet mares down if he no longer wants to care for them. My gelding who is only 3 1/2 years old is to go back to his breeder. If she is able she will keep him or find him an appropriate home.
