Default Can you retrofit an older trailer with new latches?

I have an '89 Kingston TB Deluxe. LOVE it.

I went on a ride with a friend and she had an '08 Kingston and the latches on the ramp were a lot easier than my twisty ones.

Is it possible to retrofit an older trailer with the newfangled latch system? My trailer is in great shape and I think it will go on a long time. I have a barn to store it inf or the winter and I'll keep it serviced, so it might be worth it to do some updating on it.

Has anybody done this? Is it possible?
Somehow my inner ten year old seems to have stolen my chequebook!

Probably.... I guess if you're asking then it's not a job you're going to tackle yourself

My only experience is that I had the hinges replaced on the door of my trailer, which involved welding. Hinges are rather generic and easy to get, so I wonder about the availability of the "newfangled" latches, like if you can purchase them without the trailer.
