I am looking for opinions on Wild Dance. If anyone has his offspring what - what does he pass on to his foals?

From what I understand Wild Dance has only 50 offspring world wide. He was a competition horse with no concentration on breeding. I would contact his new owner Edgar Schutte for details. Edgar is now campaigning him as a breeding stallion.

We have a Wild Dance foal coming 5/2012. Part of our decision process was based on his stallion licensing and testing scores, competition success and bloodlines. The bloodlines are highly sought after and known for high rideability, good temperaments and gaits. Waterford is also of these same bloodlines.

I LOVE him! He is on my short list of stallions for my mare. The youngsters on his website look to take quite a bit from the mares, but have a special 'it' factor that he seems to be putting out there.

I have recently seen Hidden Acres' colt by Wild Dance, out of an Elite mare, and he is lovely.

We had a lovely Wild Dance filly at our OHBS/GOV inspection a few weeks ago. The dam was a very nice mare by the Holsteiner stallion Conquistador out of a TB mare by KY Derby winner Cannonade. I will have to check my notes, but I believe the filly received a premium foal award.

Wild Gambol HU, owned by Lynn Tucker, just won the 5 year old Suitability to be a Dressage horse at DAD.

I have always been a huge fan of Wild Dance. He adds to the character and gaits, and improved the foundation and neckset in the mares we bred to him.

Our first Wild Dance colt, out of a Domingo mare, was named Champion Young Horse and Reserve Grand Champion at Dressage at Lexington in 2007 at just 3 months of age, and shown by our students. He was also the highest scoring colt on the entire US/Canada tour for Oldenburg NA. In the Regional USDF Colt Championship at Devon, he finished fourth, but Hilda Gurney had him second behind Bien Sir ISF, the eventual DAD Grand Champion. He is now in Anne Gribbons' barn.

Would breed to him again in a heartbeat!

I am so excited to hear this, VolteVT. I have a grandaughter of Dom Perignon bred to Wild Dance for a 2013 baby and I can't wait to see what she produces.

We have a lovely filly out of one of our mares by Conquistador (HOL). I absolutely love this cross. I just bought pics from the photographer to post on our website/FACEBOOK, but they have not arrived as yet.

The mare is very good, but the filly is better. Wild Thyme, the filly, has a bigger engine. Wild Dance also improved the length of neck and strengthened the loin area. The filly was a bit shy initially, but since the inspection has been ready for all the attention you can lavish on her. And, the temperament is outstanding. And yes, the filly was premium (Thanks for the kind words Chris).

The mare is open, but we plan to rebreed to Wild Dance in 2013. And, we may just send a second mare as well. Edgar was super easy to work with and an exceptional resource on bloodlines.
