    Question Shipping companies and costs from Oregon to Montreal, Canada ?

    Anyone know the approximate cost to ship a yearling from Oregon to Montréal, Canada ?

    Also, any reliable company you have used ?

    Croften Horse Transport.
    Excellent service, reasonable cost...good horse people.
    I have used them to ship several times.
    They are in BC however do a west coast USA run evert 2 weeks or so...and do go back east.

    Thompson Transport is based in Langley, B.C. and comes down the west coast. You can contact them. Another option is Perry, based in Eastern Canada. They have a great reputation and might come west.

    MAry Mykytyn, out of Ottawa area. I use her as much as I can. She shipped me a mare from BC to St Chrysostome last fall, went perfectly as usual. email me if you want her info imajacre@total.net

    I second Mary Mykytyn. She picked up a mare at my barn for a friend and delivered her in California, went perfectly as Ingrid said. Mary is a very nice lady. Would use her again and I recommand her as often as I can. Her prices are really reasonnable too.

    I second Mary. Some of the bigger companies do a layover in Kentucky -- not optimal for foals. Mary is direct and thus quicker.
