My guy is wide with a high wither. He is a TB with a curvy back. The saddle pictured is a 32 cm Stubben Roxane.
The Stubben left a small dry spot after I rode in it, almost looking like the stirrup bar? I rode him with a baby pad and fleeceworks half pad underneath.
I need to make a decision on whether to keep the Stubben.
Does it look too narrow?
What is up with the dry spot?
Could any of this be fixed with the flocking?
FYI, the last saddle I rode him in was a Bates Close contact set at wide. It left hand-sized dry spots on each side of his withers. I believe I tried the extra wide plate and the result was the same. I also tried with and without half pads. Always the same.
