Default Suggestions for "loud and noisy" horsey Christmas present for 6month old

Looking for suggestions (at parent's request!) for "loud and noisy" toy for my great-niece's first Christmas.

Something horsey that won't break my meager bank acct, but that is safe and fits the bill.

The Po Knee!! It is the head and back of a horse you strap over your knee and bounce babies on. It makes horse noises and I think trotting or galloping noises. DD had the Seabiscuit one!

Unless you really don't like the parents, why a noisy toy?

Ahahah, let me know what you find! I also have some parents (my brother and his wife, who are very obnoxious) that I would love to torture.

Just For Laughs Enterprises has a stuffed "Crazy Horse" about 10" tall with that laughs, whinnies, etc., then a vibrator starts up making it bounce around on the floor.

Go to the website, click on the "Products" button, then enter "horse" in the search block. There's even a sample recording of the sound track you can download. It's about $15.

http://www.plushfriends.com/horses.html this one has some smaller ponies that whinny and won't break the bank

this one converts to still be used as the child grows....many years of horsie noisey fun!

and they don't make noise...but WOW some of the rocking horses walmart has listed on their website are amazing. Wooden ones with chairs all painted up to look like carosel horses or princess horses......but not in a tacky way, go figure.

Not HR but I go and buy the GKids the battery operated singing motion Xmas toys and give them to them at Thxg every yr. Then they have a whole long month of playing them to get them, and their parents!, in the Xmas spirit

The ultimate Grandma gift! This year I took them and they picked out the ones they wanted. It's becoming a memorable event now.

I thought of a 6 month old horse, not human.

Same gift suggestion for "loud and horse-centric": A milk jug filled with a few rocks and the lid duct taped on.

When the parents ask, explain the connection: This is a magic window when the tastes of a horse and human line up exactly. Being thoughtful, you didn't want to miss it. (You don't need to tell them that kid and colt have the same attention span and inability to appreciate anything more expensive you'd buy for them.)

Not too loud - it could injure her ears. But I am in total agreement with horsey theme gifts!
