Default Does anyone recognize this stallion at Camelot?

    http://www.facebook.com/#!/photo.php...type=1&theater

His quality is obvious even if we can't quite figure out what he is! Maybe he's a sport type Arab? I think Camelot is in NJ?? Anyway since he's a stallion I hoped that maybe someone would recognize him.

Thankfully he has a new home. He is a TB but tattoo is not real readable. I hope when he gets home his new owner can figure out who he is. He sure looks familiar.

No way that horse is a Thoroughbred, just look at his structure! Racing Arabians can have tattoos just the same as Thoroughbreds that raced and Quarter Horses, there is a JC for Arabians.

I get page unavailable, and would really have liked to have seen him. I have a TB mare who looks very, very much like a Polish Arab; and Mahmoud has been generally recognized to have looked very much like an Arab. There are still some Araby lines in TBs that pop up occasionally.

I just emailed it to you. I think he looks more TB than Arab, personally.

I agree, TB. He looks quite a bit like my older TB broodmare. I would be interested in knowing his pedigree to see if they are related. I like the looks of him, I am glad to see he got a home.

I think he is just STUNNING. Very unusual to see a horse like that going through an auction and at Camelot.

Though I can see why folks think "Arab", I don't see Arabian type. I do see TB.

Love his clean legs and balanced build, beautiful neck and lovely topline. Glad to see he has a new home/owner.

There are lots of TBs with Arab type heads. I used to own one. He definitely looks TB in type to me. I hope he went to a good home.

Eh....could go either way. Head and neck both say Arab to me, but he's tall and the hind end looks more TB....hope his new owner can figure out the tattoo either way!

I think he went to a rescue in Georgia. Based on what I think I read on fb. That's how I understood it.

I hope they can figure out who he is. He is such a nice looking horse and more than a bit out of place there. I wonder if his owner died or something? His body is def. TB and I think his head is just a throwback. If we were in France or someplace where Arab racing is really big I would think Anglo Arab or racing Arab (same thing, LOL) too but over here and in that area I think TB. I think if he had more weight on he'd look more TB. Anyway it just drives me crazy because he seems so familiar.

I think he is an Arabian. He looks like the French bred Arabians, with perhaps some Polish blood.

Here are a few of my race bred Arabians, all purebreds (The last one is also approved Trakehner). They look like TBs:

There is Arab racing at Delaware Park...so not that far from where this auction takes place I believe. The racing Arabs look more like TBs....after all, I'm sure a lot of them are decended from similar lines.

    I vote Arab...

I would guess Russian bred Arabian. It would be interesting to find out though.

He looks Akhal Teke to me. Is there Akhal Teke racing here? I know there is in some of the old Soviet Union eastern republics.

    Default stud at camelot

The breeder posted she bred him and was very upset to see him there. Sure she could post more on what he is.
