Default Martin's potato bread support group

Can we start a support group for people addicted to grilled cheese sammies made with Martin's potato bread? They don't ship west of the Mississippi, so I gorge whenever I get the chance. My mommy was just out and brought me a loaf of bread and a package of hotdog buns! When I was pregnant, my darling daddy would overnight me a box of Martin's bread and rolls every month! I don't like grilled cheese made on anything else!

You have no idea! It is soft, sweet bread that is a most unnatural yellowish color and it will change your life!

The only time I ever have american cheese is when I have Martin's. Butter in a cast iron skillet, a light skim of mayo on the outside of both slices and two slices of Kraft Deluxe in between. cook over low heat so the cheese really melts and the funny yellow bread takes on a golden crunch. Ummmmm!

We have King's Hawaiian Bread - it sounds pretty similar!

It's good stuff! I haven't tried it as a grilled cheese sandwich, but it's awfully good with ham!

Nope not even close but Kings is really good too.

Martin's potato rolls are the only hamburg and hotdog rolls I will buy now.

Mmmm, potato bread and potato rolls are the best. I don't know if I've had Martin's, but the Dutch Country ones are the ones I think I usually get, and they're awesome.

Love me some King's hawaiian! Makes really good ham sammies, but it isn't a patch on Martin's. Sarahandsam, if you like Dutch country, treat yourself and seek out the Martin's. the DC is very dry in comparison.

Their factory is in the same town I work in. EVERY single store sells Martins potato bread & rolls. My Thanksgiving stuffing is even made with Martin's potato bread cubes! There's just something sinful about "potato & bread", but it is sooooo good!

Love their hotdog buns. Soooo soft and squishy. I shun any other bun!

rustbreeches, if I got you for COTH SS, I would send you a case! They have tons of it at the Market Basket where I shop. Their hot dog rolls are delicious and now I'm going to have to try a grilled cheese sandwich for lunch. Yum.

You generous PA CoTHers rock!!! I actually have a small cache left, an mom will be here again in a week!. When she left last week, I sent home a suitcase to be brought back filled with Martin's! My MIL assured me they have potato bread in CO. When I told her they didn't have Martin's, she said what they did have was just as good. It can't be that much better. LIAR!!! LIAR!!! They don't have anything as good as Martin's
