    Default Not motivated...feeling guilty

I'm sitting here trying to get motivated to go to the barn, and feeling guilty about not wanting to go. Went on vacation a few weeks ago, and ended up with a case of E. Coli when I got back. I'm over the E. Coli, but now have a hacking cough! I've only been out to the barn a couple of times since we got back, and have only ridden once. I should be going out now, but just don't have the motivation/energy. So no real purpose to this post, other than postponing getting up and going...

    Default Take care of yourself

I would guess you have some physical reasons for how you feel and maybe you need to listen to your body. I get the guilts sometimes about "not feeling like riding" and I think back to before I had horses, how I would never have imagined I could ever not want to ride. But life gets full of other things that require our energy. Cut yourself a break and make sure you are well.

Thank you, Petstorejunkie! I got my butt out to the barn. Turns out my boy had gotten kicked on his side (which wasn't apparent until I took his blanket off) and cut his leg. So I iced his side, and hosed and put some ointment on his leg. So definitely glad that I went out there!

It's normal to go through spells of that, especially when you aren't feeling 100% and when it's winter to boot.
Just go and work through it like you did. The urge does come back.
