I won a trip and appearance on Equitrekking! Tell me about the show!
Just saw the press release online so now it is official, I won a trip to Mackinac Island in MI and an appearance on the TV travel show Equitrekking!!! Oh and a brand new Charles Owens helmet
I have never watched the show, anyone on here familiar with it? If you have, tell me more about!!! I looked at some of what they have online but they don't have any full episodes that I could find, just little snippets.
I am so excited, I never win anything so to win something like this is just overwhelming!! I had nominated my vet for the Bayer Vet of the year award and I guess when you did that you were automatically entered into the sweepstakes for the trip. Can't wait to get more details on when the trip will be.

Reason: ralized that the OMG in the title sounded really stupid :-)

How fun is that! I'm going to need to know when your show airs as I am going to Mackinac in 2013 for my 50th and I'll want to know the best things to do.

Congratulations! I've only caught bits and pieces of the show on PBS but it looks like a lot of fun.

LoriO, congratulations! I have watched several episodes. If you have digital TV without cable, you can find it on the PBS Create station (24.3, CPTV, or 57.4, Springfield Public TV). Go up on www.createtv.com, type in Equitrekking in the search field, and a list of topics involving the show will come up on then screen, including a topic on planning for your Equitrekking vacation. I believe you can purchase videos of the trips. The US/Canada trips would probably be most helpful for you. She interviews each featured trail leader she rides with, covers little bits of local history, scenery, and stops in to eat and shop in town along the way. The Create station also has a program finder on its website so you can find out when it will be showing on a station in your zip code!
Let me know when you own episode airs so I can watch!
By the way, which vet did you nominate?

Very nice! It would be nice to see a Connecticut vet win that!
That Create station is my guilty pleasure. Great programs!

Chief2, it would have been nice but sadly she didn't win this one. Just found out about another similar type award being sponsored by Pfizer that I am going to put her in for :-D
