Default Lexington KY boarding with winter riding facilities?

I was considering moving my horse to a boarding barn with a decent arena, at least for the winter. The footing where I am is down right dangerous and I am now without a truck to haul anywhere.

Can someone give me some recommendations for places to look at? I know of a few, but there must be others out there. Preferences: any discipline. I just would like either a sand ring or a really good (flat) grass ring. If no indoor, its got to be lit for night riding. Cost around $500 if full care/$250 self. Prefer north side, closer to Horse Park or Hamburg.

    Any suggestions would be great!

Check us out at www.landnequine.com. We offer very affordable boarding, with self care starting at $120 and full care starting at $250. We have a 200 x 300 outdoor with all weather footing and a 75 x 200 indoor with sand footing that we treat in the winter to prevent freezing. We are 10 minutes from Hamburg.

Message horse-loverz. She lives in the area and boards at a nice place!

Westwind. I don't think she'll take a winter only boarder though and I think she might be a little over your budget. Beautiful facility and great care...she has the Lexington New Vocations there too.

Gram Arena is about 10 minutes from KHP. All self care but when I was there if you got your morning feed ready, they fed it for you. Indoor and outdoor available. Several reiners and polo horses (owners do polo and reining), but also plenty of dressage and hunter people board there too. 859-608-9726

That's Lauren Nethery's place. She's an amazing horsewoman...really cares for her horses. She goes above and beyond...even when it's not her horse!

Thank you so much for your kind words, Laura. Horses are my passion and I am lucky enough for them to be my profession as well. We are making much progress on the new farm and invite anyone and everyone to come visit!

Red Gate Equestrian Center would be a lovely choice (indoor arena, outdoor arena, xc course, etc), but is on the south side of town.
