    Default Standardbred needs help, PA

I saw this on SmartPak's facebook page, figured I'd pass it along. Sorry if this has already been posted.

CAN ANYONE IN THE PA AREA HELP THIS MARE?
If anyone knows anyone who might be able to help – there is an extremely thin standard bred mare who is only 10 years old in a corral at the Middleburg Auction Barn (Owner is Bill at 570-837-2222) that has been abandoned. He is feeding and watering her during the night when she is brought into a stall. He then puts her out during the day for fresh air. He said he cannot continue to feed her and if she is not gone by Friday morning he will euthanize her himself. He said he hates to do it but has to. He would be delighted if someone would just take her and rehabilitate her, and they could have her for free. If the person did not want to keep her they could make her healthy and sell her to a good home. She is a Standard Bred and is harness trained. It is unknown if she has ever been ridden as a saddle horse. Please contact Bill if you can help this horse.

Any odds they can get her freezebrand/tattoo? might help to know who she is.

ETA: if she's only 10, she'll have a freezebrand on her neck, shouldn't be hard to read.

Contact the Standardbred Retirement Foundation ASAP! They are excellent about taking care of their own!!!

This was posted on another board, someone said they called and were told the horse had already been rehomed.
