    Default Last minute Halloween costume

Anyone have any suggestions for an easy costume that's maybe horsey or made from horse show clothes? (Let's face it, I own more show clothes than anything else...) Thanks!

Well, not show clothes, but certainly quick and easy... Togas! Just need a pretty large one for the horse and some rope to tie around the middle. You can then add accessories if you want to be a specific set of Greek gods or something... I did this one year as a last minute idea, turned out great, but my horse tolerates a lot from me

Mad Men fan? You could go as Season 2 Betty Draper in her riding attire.

Sorry, doesn't need to include a horse. Keep'em coming, though!

What kind of clothes - English, Western, etc. If you have them you could do a Jedi with a pair of riding tights and tall boots.

Horse show clothes, and carry a stuffed fox. Or white breeches, polo shirt, schooling helmet and a polo mallet.... depending on the party and your personal style... show boots, short black skirt, fish nets, tight black shirt and a crop, lots of make-up. <snerk>

    Default Morbid, but easy

Wear your show clothes. Get some clown white (or any very light foundation), some blue and/or purple eye shadow, then fake blood coming from your ear and nose.

    Dead foxhunter/jumper, etc.

Told you it was morbid. But easy.

Dislike. Never got any cool costumes when I was a kid because from about age seven or eight onward, my mom always told me to just "be an equestrian for Halloween." Oh well. I loved walking around in the show clothes I didn't even like wearing at shows...

I'd do the toga thing, last minute, before I'd do a horse-clothes themed thing, but then again...yeah. If you have a fancy silky shirt, real bright, and some white breeches, go buy some goggles and you can be a jockey? OR, if you have any colorful boot socks, pair those with a skirt, would be cute and you can say any number of things (street walker, Catholic school girl, Pippy Longstockings...).

if youll be with horse people who will 'get it' you can be a trainers worst nightmare. always hilarious when people do that and easy. some examples include, out of date colors, white breeches if you do hunter jumpers, wear mismatched half chaps and dirty boots or better yet garters, make your hair super messy with a wrong colored hairnet and put it in a show bow, wear big hoop earings and an excessive amount of make up, hunt cap, you can go all day and its super funny. (and scary)

I wish! That would be hilarious! But nope, no horse people.

where all your proper riding gear and then but a horse shoe on either butt cheek! You could either do just the black inprint or actually stick them there with a glue gun add some blood to make it look really ouch worthy!

Or wear all your gear and then get one of those old skool horse head on a stick toys and ride that around all night!

If your going with a date, wear your gear and then outfit him with a bitless bridle and rains, a nice tail n mane, and maybe an enlgish saddle strapped to his back.........or switch it to with bit and western if he pissed you off lately, lol
if you havent fallen off a horseā€¦.then you havent been ridin long enough

Breeches and boots get you halfway to highwayman or headless horseman, especially if you already have a cape of some sort.

I usually just go with a rugby shirt and goggles and crop for jockey, or you can add a long skirt that matches your hunt coat and a cheap top hat and be a sidesaddle rider.

If you have white breeches, go to a sports store and get a referee jersey or black and white striped shirt and whistle. Black boot socks, paddock boots, and a cheap black ball cap and voila! referee!
