    Default Once Feral - Now Cuddly - Rescue Kittens

    I have been trying to get the feral cats/kittens off the streets in our small town. So far, I've trapped 7, which have been spayed/neutered. I've released a couple here at my barn after keeping them inside for awhile and continue to feed them. I have a number of ferals I've trapped here through the years and feed. Anyway, 5 are kittens -- 4 are about 12-14 weeks, all tuxedo type, 3 males and one female. One is probably about 4-5 months, female and a dramatic black and white pattern, very pretty and cute expression. I already have quite a number of kitties we have rescued or taken in -- all spayed/neutered, etc. Soooo, I've noticed some of you are cat lovers and may have lost a beloved kitty recently. If anyone needs a precious kitten, let me know -- they are spayed/neutered/rabies/dewormed and very sweet - great motors, playful, etc. I'm in central AL. Have a couple more that are probably 8-10 months to capture and hubby saw a few young ones at another parking lot, so I may have to spay/neuter and release -- we'll see. Would love to get them off the street/parking lots -- not a good place to live. Our Humane Society will do a free spay/neuter/rabies for ferals, so it's just time and travel to get them back and forth to the vet - about 20 miles and some care. TIA

    What a great thing you are doing! You are setting a wonderful example and I commend you for working so hard to help the kitties.

    I hope you have success in finding them new homes and please keep up the good work. I have much respect and admiration for you!

    Thank you for what you're doing and have done for the kitties and for what you're doing to help reduce the overflow cat population. I'm constantly amazed at how many people don't have a clue about how severe this problem is. I hope you will be able to keep doing what you are doing!!!!!

    Thanks -- I've been rescuing forever, it's actually very rewarding to know you helped. But it's also overwhelming and frustrating since you know it's just a drop in the bucket. I am just hoping to rehome some and ease the burden a bit. Have sent out emails and put them on Facebook, so we shall see. I want to be careful about where they go without being a PITA, LOL. Was hoping maybe someone on this board might want one or two -- I have pictures!!

    If more folks would do their drop in the bucket, things would be getting better. Just keep doing what you're doing. You'll not only be able to sleep at night; you'll also be setting a good example that hopefully will inspire others. {{{{{ HUGS }}}}}
