Default Stray kitty shows up in my front yard - good mouser?

Found this lovely little kitty in my front yard yesterday. He didn't seem to have a collar or a name tag on. Do you think he will make a good mouser? I'm thinking of calling him Charlie and getting him a flea collar :-)

Oh what a beautiful kitteh -- an asset to any farm! I'm sure he/she would be a very proficient Verminator. Good luck with the routine handling though...

Are you in the Southwest somewhere?

We had a bobcat family at the stable I used to board at. My horse thought they were friends who were supposed to play with him... But they preferred smaller critters, and really helped with a ground squirrel problem - the suckers were digging up the arena!

Don't let Mildot see it, or he'd want to shoot it with an AK 47 or something similar...

He's adorable, and probably an excellent mouser! I think you should name him Robert. Bob for short.

I bet he is an excellent mouser. I agree with Jetsmom, he should be named Bob.

    Default Murphy's Feline Law

    Nope - too big
He will just lay about your barn consuming mass quantities of cat food and ignoring the mice.

Now my little 5# Verminator has brought down bunnies near her size
    That's a barncat!
