    Default I can't stop crying

This is pretty much a cross post. I posted in detail about it in Horse Care Forum. Long story short my best boy went to the vet today and he has neurological symptoms and the first blood test came back with Low white count. The rest of the tests won't be back till monday or Tuesday.

He is not himself at all. He is suddenly weak. I hate that I have to wait and fear he will get worse or I won't be able to afford the treatment, or that even with treatment he will never recover and be resigned to a life stuck in the stall and miserable.

and so, I can't stop crying.

Oh, I'm so sorry. And I know the waiting for the rest of the test results just makes it all the harder. Jingles and good thoughts for you and your boy!

Thanks to you all. I just keep hoping something magical will happen and fix it all. And then I get SO MAD because why does it have to happen to him?

Jingles to you and your boy.

I sympathise. I've been crying off and on for the past week and will continue to do so for some time, and all I'm doing is trying to sell my boy because we're not right for each other.

This too will pass. Hang in there!

@Enthusiasm: I know "This too shall pass" but Trickster and I have been a pair for 8 years now. He was bought off the track by a client for whom I trained and showed and it became the quintessential Horse/Girl love story right down to he would only work for me and when I moved to SoCal he was sent to me because he would not work for the new trainer or any other. He has seen me through every one of my husbands boot camp, schools, Deployments. He has never taken a bad step and has been more loyal than any dog. And now he is helpless and weak and confused.

I wish it would pass much more quickly.

oh, big hugs to you and your Trickster.
I know its so easy to worry, but remember to breathe and when you see Trickster, make sure you smile and reassure him all is well. Seriously, a vet told me that when I went to see my recovering horse.

As we walked down the aisle, she said, smile, he can read your expressions and he doesn't need to worry anymore than he already is.

Hope this will be just blip, and he will be fine.
    Jingles for you.

Tnx Fivehorses, good advice. I go in his stall and he just puts his big head against me and I hold him.
